The best birthday cake matcha latte recipe, using toasted vanilla bean syrup and rainbow sprinkles. It's giving CAKE.
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 tablespoons Toasted Vanilla Bean Syrup
- 1/2 - 1 teaspoon matcha powder (I am currently loving Cymbiotika's matcha)
- 6-8 ounces water, depending on the size of your cup
- Milk of choice (I use Malk brand almond milk)
- Cold foam (I make mine by foaming vegan whipping cream with toasted vanilla bean syrup)
- Sprinkles!
RECIPE:
- In a glass, whisk vanilla bean syrup, matcha powder, and water together. If you want the real deal, you can use a bamboo matcha whisk and tea set to whisk the matcha properly to the perfect consistency.
- Pour ice into your glass and then add milk over top
- In a separate glass, whisk the whipping cream with more toasted vanilla bean syrup to create the cold foam
- Pour the cold foam over top and add as many sprinkles as your heart desires (I added more after the photo was taken)

This was the exact pick me up I needed this afternoon. If you are not a matcha person, you could really put the same toppings on a latte and it would be just as delicious.
