Blue Vanilla Matcha Latte

Why do things taste better when they're blue?? 

Take this drink for example. My boyfriend does not like matcha, he's always been a coffee drinker instead. But, once I made this matcha latte, he could not stop requesting it. 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 -2 tsp matcha (I like a bit more than the packaging usually suggests)
  • 1 tsp blue spirulina
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons Toasted Vanilla Bean Syrup
  • Milk of choice (I use Malk brand almond milk)

For the cold foam topping: 

RECIPE:

  1. In your glass, mix matcha, blue spirulina, water, and toasted vanilla bean syrup. You can mix this with a handheld coffee wand (like this one), or you can do it in a matcha bowl (like this one) and then pour into your glass
  2. Add ice to glass with matcha in it
  3. Fill glass with milk of your choice
  4. In a separate glass, whisk the cold foam ingredients until fluffy. Pour over top of the matcha latte
  5. ENJOY 

This drink feels like you're drinking a cookie. Sweet and subtle with vanilla beans throughout.
